[rivasliderpro id=”4″] A challenging design project. We started with a very small section which limited the house footprint size, a large municipal pipeline running under one end of the section and the land itself was fill that had been placed during WW2. This family needed three bedrooms, one with ensuite, an open plan kitchen/dining that needed morning sun, transitioning through to a lounge with a raked decorative ply panel ceiling, a covered area for outdoor cooking and a two car garage. We created the form in conjunction with two different Engineers, one for foundation design and another for structural. The finished home although compact, works brilliantly well and is sitting on sturdy foundations. Private internally and yet open to the surroundings.
